Synopsis
Step into a world where music tells the story.
Mozart’s Requiem is surrounded by mystery and legend. Commissioned anonymously and left unfinished at the time of his death, the work has long carried an aura of intrigue—fueling the myth that Mozart was writing his own funeral mass. Dark, urgent, and transcendent, it stands as one of the most powerful choral works ever composed.
Schubert’s Symphony No. 8, the “Unfinished,” carries its own enigma. Abandoned after just two movements, it remains hauntingly complete in its emotional arc—its brooding opening and sweeping lyricism making it one of the most beloved symphonies in the repertoire.
Together, these two unfinished masterpieces form an evening shaped by mystery, depth, and enduring brilliance.
