Denis Mastromonaco

Conductor and Music Director

Maestro Denis Mastromonaco stands as an epitome of symphonic and operatic prowess. Denis directs with passion and expertise at the helm of this enchanting orchestra, guiding the orchestra through the vast landscape of classical music, making every Burlington orchestra event an unforgettable experience.

His international acclaim has seen him conduct esteemed ensembles, including the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra and members of the Pittsburgh Symphony.

Karen Stothart

Manager of Operations

Karen, a retired secondary music/drama teacher, is happy to be back with the Burlington Symphony as Operations Manager.  Karen currently also works with the Mississauga Symphony Youth Orchestra as their Operations Consultant and enjoys volunteering with the Civitan Club of Halton.  “I am so pleased and proud to be a part of the Burlington Symphony Orchestra.  Our growth from three to seven concerts a year, is a testament to our Board, Musician, Staff, Arts Community Partners, Grantors and Donors commitment to artistic excellence in Burlington.

Dave O'Donnell

Professional Photographer

Dave has been a Professional Nikon photographer since 1996 with a passion for capturing and documenting everything from high performance sports, racing the Arts and product stills. Dave is no stranger to orchestras, having played trumpet himself.  During the past 15 years Dave has turned his cameras to focus on orchestras capturing the artists doing what they do best. In Nikon’s 100th year Anniversary International Photo contest, drawing 82,000 entries, Dave was a finalist with a photo from his youth orchestra collection. Dave also has a strong McMaster University connection being the longest serving Head Coach in McMaster’s history.
