The Mentorship Program
Burlington Symphony Orchestra is excited to announce the 2025-26 Young Artist Mentorship Program!
The Burlington Symphony Orchestra supports and encourages promising young artists from Halton and surrounding areas by offering them the chance to rehearse and perform alongside the BSO.
In the Young Artist Mentorship program, you’ll step into the world of professional orchestral performance, working alongside experienced musicians in a supportive, mentorship-focused environment. Here’s what to expect:

Qualified Young Artists will be selected to perform during the 2025-26 Season

Benefit from one-on-one mentorship and collaborative learning

Those selected will rehearse and perform as BSO members

Membership fees to the BSO are waived

Each Artist will receive a Bursary of $100 Eligibility Requirements
- The Mentorship Program this season is currently open to strings – violin, viola, cello and double bass. Winds/Brass/Percussion may have openings, please inquire.
- Applicants can be a maximum of 25 years of age at the time of application
- Canadian citizenship is a requirement and the musician must reside or study in Ontario

THIS SEASON
Our Current Young Artists
Throughout the season, our Young Artists will work within the orchestra in rehearsals and on stage, gaining hands on experience in a professional symphonic environment. Their presence brings curiosity, focus, and momentum to the music and points toward what the next chapter of orchestral performance can be.
